Our Experienced Coaches
Meet the Dedicated Team at MAC, Windhoek.
Marlins Aquatic Club is led by a team of highly qualified and passionate swim coaches who are committed to your success.

She has been involved in water sports all her life. She received her coaching qualifications through the British Swimming Council and has coached in both Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Jane has also had the privilege to accompany various Namibian swim teams as coach and manager around the world, including the World Short Course Championships in China and Melbourne; the World Aquatics championships in Japan, as well as the Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad and Tobago.
With Jane’s knowledge, motivation and encouragement, any swimmer is sure to succeed!

His coaching career started briefly in 2018, during which he coached from Learn to Swim right through to Masters, before heading to Germany to study to become a Personal trainer. Jörn recently returned to Namibia and attended the ASCA Level 1,2 and 3 to start coaching as a Professional coach at MAC. He now coaches the stroke correction, junior and senior groups, and fills in to coach the Masters squad when needed.

Besides also coaching some of Namibia's top triathletes, Cheryl is well-known in the Namibian sporting world and continues to participate in various sporting events herself across the globe, including the Ironman Series.
After attending a Level 1 Coaches course for Triathlons, Cheryl identified a gap in the market for Junior Triathletes. This led to her training further in various swim courses, including School Teacher's Swim Instruction, Frankie Frog for young children with Tom Frankel, as well as Swim South Africa's Learn to Swim programs. In addition to this, Cheryl also completed an Infant and Toddler Swim program.
She currently coaches Master swimmers at our club and fills in for any of the other coaches if the need arises.

Transitioning from competitor to coach, Matthew has been guiding Masters swimmers at MAC since 2017. Additionally, he serves as the coach for the Namibia Stone men's water polo team, bringing his experience of more than 25 years in competitive swimming, combined with a passion for aquatics to every session.
Whether you are looking to compete at a high level or simply stay fit and active, having Matthew as your coach will help you reach your goals
